    MENA shipping rules

    If the course will run in Arabic, design in logical properties from the first prototype: margin-inline, text-start, flex direction that respects dir. Process arrows that only point right will lie in RTL. Numerals, hamza, and voice talent are QC items, not afterthoughts.

    Flip the production myths

    “We will translate after English is signed off.” — String length, line breaks, and RTL mirroring will force reflow. Budget transcreation in the same sprint.

    “Machine translation is fine for SCORM.” — Policy and safety language needs a human pass. Hallucinated numbers are a learning-integrity failure.

    “Burned-in English labels in the video are OK.” — They cannot flip. Prefer a labeled graphic you can localize, or a caption track.
