What this lesson covers

    The loop, not the lecture

Architects specify loops in the storyboard: (1) learner attempts a task instance, (2) feedback names the gap without sarcasm — conversational mentor copy or a linked job aid, not both dumped on one beat, (3) a new instance with shifted context. Wrong paths show consequence first; delight only when it reinforces the preferred move. Roediger & Karpicke (2006) show retrieval beats restudy on delayed retention — your loop should include retrieval, not only re-reading. Merrill’s application principle means each instance should be a new problem, not the same slide with a different color.
