   Stage 1 is not a topic list

   Understanding by Design’s backward sequence: (1) identify desired results — what should learners understand and be able to transfer; (2) determine acceptable evidence — how you will know; (3) plan learning experiences. Module 1 gave you business goals and actions. This module asks what evidence would convince you those actions improved.

   2 · Acceptable evidence: Assessment map before storyboard activities.

   3 · Learning plan: Practice plus minimum information (Moore + Merrill).

   Topic outline vs. evidence plan

   Topic outline first: Chapter 1: Introduction to safety. · Chapter 2: Regulations overview. · Final quiz: 20 random facts.

   Evidence plan first: Criterion: technician locks out machine correctly. · Evidence: timed simulation + checklist audit. · Learning: practice steps, then brief regulation reference.
